FISH

I have been reading this book last day name'd "Fish" it is from Stephen Lundin, Harry Paul and John Christensen, it is kinda series book taking a story and tells how to boost your moral and create a good working environment no matter you love what you working or not, I liked it, I am going to read its next series whenever I get time
Here is a nice poem from this book
I want to write about faith
about the way the moon rises
over cold snow, night after night

Faithful even as it faides from fullness
slowly becoming that last curving and impossible
silver of light before the final darkness
but I have no faith myself
I refuse to give it smallest entry

Let this then, my small poem
like a new moon, slender and barely open,
be the first prayer that opens me to faith.

Starting of last week in Bangalore

Okay now this is pretty much certain that I will be leaving this town(Bangalore) and my company(Sun microsystems) and this is my last week out here, and today being monday I am having kindof mix reaction as monday is the day where my mental hormones get released I guess...
Anyways, Don't want to get overwhelmed so here I will talk about weekend.
I ended up watching 2 movies, Kisna and Page3, Kisna was a unsuccessful attempt by Shubash Ghai, but "page 3" came out to be excellent movie it was story of journalist movie which was "page 3"(masala page) editor and she found herself in strange situation where people are making strange type of compromises to be successful in life using shortcut and this is indeed truth and examples are around everyone, but she refused to make this kindof compromises and GWS(Goes without saying) suffers, but this clearly show the real of face the dirty society we are developing and moreover sometimes ... rather are so proud of it.
Another important thing we did was, we shifted to T2's house since I am going this friday so making this weekend as last day for shifting for my room mate, kinda hectic but manageable, but only thing is I havn't got proper sleep from last 2 days and moving around with red eyes, and every1 thinking it as hangover as usual ... :)

NYT - Face off China

Here is a great article by New York Time, It is not about old Kyoto protocol or another story about rise of dragon but it tells how the cost of this rise is being paid by rural people and to some extend even by urbanites and how much dragon is ignoring them, From around a year or 2 all I was seeing in news was just Shanghai or Beijing and there high rise buildings or there state of the art Infrastructure or news about there great FDI, etc, Though I knew this is not really the picture but just a tiny part of this massive country, As surely it can't be all rainbow and people are literally surfing and paying cost, even in developed cities like Beijing and Shanghai people are feared to even talk about bad part of dragon.
Though in some points you can really compare this with India when it comes to difference between Urban and Rural India it is really increasing here too, and same applies for pollution and same applies for pollution and health but difference is here people have right to protest and media also helps them sometimes and really make the difference, recently there are such examples came in when media reported and then state govt acted on it.

Bob Cringely's predictions of 2005 are out

Okay at last, after a long wait, it is out
you can see them here
I kinda big fan of Bob by now, But not necessary he will be always rite, he was not rite even on all points in 2004, and one point about which I disagree this time is:
---
12) There is no evidence that Sun will change its current course, which is inexorably downward. I know Jonathan Schwartz thinks I'm crazy, but so far I am more right than he is, and hear no reason coming from him why that should change.
---
I wish he will be wrong about this, But I can't see anything big plan also from Sun in this year, Apart from Mustang(JDK 1.6) which will be out sometimes in mid 2005
But yes I agree strongly with his 10th point
---
10) In 2005, the major beneficiaries of the Peoplesoft-Oracle merger will be SAP and IBM, NOT Peoplesoft or Oracle customers, despite anything Larry Ellison says ("Oversupport" Peoplesoft customers? -- sheesh).
---

So lets see what goes this year, But I am just wondernig is Bob is trying to play safe this year, Otherwise why didn't he made any predictions over
- iPod future
- Outsourcing halla
Are u there Bob ? :)

Summarizing 2004

So here is the end of the another golden year of my life,

This year I really saw many changes{Ups and downs} in life and really learned alot of things from life, This year brought me closer to myself and I under myself little better than what I use to earlier.

What I learned
--> I learned how to react in bad times and how to cope up with stress, surely this is going to be useful in rest of the life.
--> I learned how to stay away from selfish people, And really saw a bigtime crap person in life, thanks I have my distances now.
--> I learned how to be inactive while still being actively involved.
--> I now more strongly believe, one of the biggest treasure of life are good friends and tight family ties.
--> I learned how to say no
--> I learned to adapt changes, and indeed pretty fast.

What I liked
--> I think I still hold that zeel to some extend and some determination power, as to prove this only I gave SCEA Part I
--> I am still passionate about new stuffs
--> I came lil more close to my family, reason might be quite possible that I had too much vacations this year
--> I got whooping increment in my salary
--> I finished my long uni due.
--> I had a good room mate, like last year
--> Still hold some good hearted friends around.
--> Celebrated 2nd 31st dec. being in same company
--> Tension between India n Pakistan seems reduced, and proportionally less number of deaths in J&K.

some small points
--> I didn't lost my wallet{I did lost last year}
--> My eyesight is still good and don't wear specs, despite of the fact I had pretty irregular sleeps and long working hours.
--> I had some good trip to western ghats and Kerala
--> I have far more self confidence in myself than before.
--> I am watching good number of movies in theatre.

What I didn't liked
--> I think I am lazy towards my work
--> I am not talking about my work anymore, and getting drifted I strongly believe, but anyways, I have talked about it in this point atleast :)
--> I think I am lazy towards my work
--> Didn't had good time adapting Bangalore weather
--> Bush won again
--> Tsunami disaster
some small points
--> Never went gym this year regularly
--> I forgot my jeju's b'day
--> I didn't buyed any shoe pair :)

Another amazing note about 2004 I can say is,
World is getting weired
best rapper is a white guy, the best golfer is a black guy, the Swiss hold
the America cup, France is accusing the U.S. of arrogance
and Germany doesn't want to go to war", and lastly Dubai got snowfall and
there and Antartica having grass round the year

Old vidhan sabha of Bangalore

Just near to it, is getting another new one coming up(Almost finished), it is needed or not I am not very sure.
